I started Pilates over 12 months ago. I thought I would give it a go after having had several years of chiropractic manipulation without a lot of success or only temporary relief.
I had also had massages on a weekly basis and my massage therapist suggested I try Pilates to get more flexibility.
After several sessions at Pilates reformer/ Mat classes, I started to see results almost immediately. I am 55 years young and have never been able to touch my toes, but after Pilates I can now not only touch my toes but feel freer & much more flexible in all movements.

My specialist, 12 months ago, suggested I start doing Pilates whilst awaiting knee surgery.
I look forward to Annie’s classes as she is friendly yet very professional. She knows her stuff, suggested exercises for me to do at home to strengthen my knee prior to my surgery and also gave me post-op exercises.
I had my knee surgery over 6 months ago and have continued with Pilates reformer and mat classes, generally 2-3 times per week. The benefits for me from the Pilates classes include improved posture, core strength, flexibility and general well-being.
I can highly recommend Pilates to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. The classes and exercises are based on individual abilities, from basic to intermediate to advanced. I started with the basics and am now confidently working my way from intermediate towards advanced.

How we work with you
We have an easy step by step process we follow to ensure your safe introduction to Pilates training. The steps are outlined below:
- Complete an assessment form to work out your current situation and goals
- Book into one of our introduction to Pilates classes either online or by calling our studio
- On your first visit the instructor conducts simple tests to check your fitness level
- The trainer will also teach you how to breath for maximum performance
- We will then show you our equipment and explain your training options
- We recommend you complete three mat work classes before attending any other Pilates sessions to ensure you have solid technique to prevent injury
You are now well on your way to achieving your goals. You have learnt to breath better, have grounding in Pilates techniques and now ready to move forward to better mobility and fitness.
